Alva Bonaker

Alva Bonaker jointed the TRG in January 2014 for her PhD research on the Indian Mid-Day Meal Scheme. She studied Area Studies Asia/Africa with focus on South Asia in her Bachelor at Humboldt-University (HU) in Berlin and South Asian Area Studies with anthropology as major in her Master at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), London. During the undergraduate studies she went to Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi for a semester. After completing her postgraduate studies she worked in the Indo-German “Sustainable Hyderabad” project on local civil society participation in city development and sustainable resource management.
