TRG 2: Transnational Research Group: Education and the Urban

Mission

2-3 year research project funded initially by the Max Weber Stiftung India Branch Office/German Historical Institute London.
 

Research

The TRG will consist of the partners mentioned above, who will be its Principal Investigators, and a small number of selected postdoctoral, early career researchers. It will also draw in scholars working on the theme of education and the urban and build research network of such scholars. Contributions from external scholars will take the form of participation in conferences and workshops of the TRG and a set working papers on the theme.

The TRG will initially be funded by the India Research Programme of the Max Weber Stiftung, with some participatory, proportionate funding for events in India by project partners in India.

The project will start 1 October 2017 for an initial period of two years, to be extended subject to funding availability, to three years. The possibility of a further extension of up to two years will be discussed, subject to the availability of fund
