Michael Schaich is a research fellow at the Institute and also its head librarian. He joined the GHIL in 1999 after studying at the University of Munich. He specializes in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century British and German history. His current research is focused on the symbolic representation of the British monarchy and state during the late seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
